Art Writing & Publishing Contest in Qatar 2022

Our Art Writing & Publishing programe is targeting interested Art Writers, Academics, Critics and Intellectuals that have a publication project they would like to collaborate on or develop with ARAK Collection.We are looking for Art Writers (used broadly), to propose reference level publishable projects that ARAK Collection will Publish under its Publishing Umbrella activities.If you have any idea that you believe the current publishing Sub-Saharan Art panorama is missing, either new or something you have been working on, we are happy to consider your submission. If your idea collects the ARAK Curatorial Advisory Committee consensual approval, it will be selected for development and ultimately publishing. We are looking to publish our first Art Writing Fellowship in 2022.
Applications and associated files are accepted by email only, sent to: Fellowships@arakcollection.com. The file must include the following :
- Biography of the applicant (maximum 500 keystrokes), complete with training, research and contact details, and a portfolio (word or pdf) of various projects the applicant has carried out or is working on.
- a written statement of interest in the ARAK Collection Fellowship Program and how it will contribute to the applicant’s research and career interests and development. (maximum 3000 keystrokes, word or pdf), an estimated research timetable and an estimated project production timetable for the different stages in the publication being proposed.
- Recommendation letters from relevant art world professionals, with whom the applicant has worked closely are welcomed, but not essential.
- All texts must be in English only.
