Open call for artists Milano Mediterranea 2024

Milano Mediterranea is a decolonial participatory art center.
A diffuse archive of collective practices that through the performing arts interacts with territories and communities to activate processes of interconnection between people and new aesthetics of the contemporary.
Milano Mediterranea is structured thanks to a program of creative residencies aimed at artistsз with migrant backgrounds residing in Italy and interested in working in interaction with the
Giambellino-Lorenteggio neighborhood translating their artistic research into an exercise of decoloniality, understood as a space of experimentation to open up to new practices of relationship,
creation and narration.
The projects will be selected by a Neighborhood Committee together with the artistic direction of Milano Mediterranea and will be invited to participate in a co-production residency with the Cultural Production Center BASE Milano.
The production of the art projects in residence will take place in dialogue with the network of neighborhood spaces and realities identified based on the specific needs of the area and connections
with the art projects presented.
