About Art Explora: 

Art Explora is an international foundation that inspires new encounters between arts and audiences – locally, nationally and internationally.
Fully funded Artist in residence Art Explora program: 

The Art Explora foundation, in collaboration with the Cité internationale des arts, is calling for applications from artists and researchers from all over the world for their residency programme in Paris, for 3 or 6 months between March 2025 and February 2026.

The programme invites residents to develop a project that addresses contemporary issues, including new technologies, the links between art and science, environmental, political and social issues. The residency programmes are designed to accompany a project in its entirety or only one stage of it: no rendering is required at the end of the residency.

There are two programmes.

The programmes are open to artists and researchers of all nationalities, with no age limit. Eligible artists are those who can justify a minimum of five years of professional activity.

Eligible artistic disciplines are visual arts, performing arts, digital arts, art criticism & curating. Eligible areas of research are humanities, social sciences, sciences, technological innovation, ecology.

Benefits: 

Each resident benefits from :

  • 3-month or 6-month residency at the Cité internationale des arts – site of Montmartre
  • A 50m2 studio apartment (single double bed), fully equipped and furnished.
  • grant of 1,000 euros per month
  • production grant of up to 3,000 euros,
  • A round trip to the residence

NB: For the Artists Collective program, only one studio-apartment (a bedroom with a double bed, a workspace, a kitchen and a bathroom) can be made available for one artist from a collective. The workspace may be shared with the other members of the collective. The living grant will be paid only to the resident housed at the Cité internationale des arts de Montmartre and a common production grant will be allocated to the project.
