When it comes to your art, explain what you do in 100 words:

– I picked up my first oil brush at 12, and I haven’t stopped creating since. I am a self-taught artist driven by instinct, emotion, and a deep love for all forms of art – especially music- I use my work to translate feelings into colour, rhythm into shape.
My creative journey began with oils but has since expanded into acrylics, ink and mixed media – each piece an experiment in texture, mood, and freedom. No rules. Just raw expression.

-What project are you working on now?  I am currently experimenting drawings with ink and paint markers. I love it cos i get very creative with shapes and colours.

-Why do you do what you do?

I do art cos it is in my DNA, I love art, crafts, music, poetry, sculpture and everything creative.

-How has your practice changed over time?

As I am a self taught artist I have basically watched and follow techniques and ways of work of other artists, and in doing that it felt almost like I was doing copycats, but then I understood that I had to find my own style and ways to express art and the beauty of colours, and that’s when i stopped following rules written in books or tutorials and I just let my paint brush be led by my heart.

-What is your strongest childhood memory?

My strongest childhood memory linked to art is when for the first time my dad brought me to buy art and painting supplies. I was mesmerized by the sight of all the things they had in that shop and dreaming of what beautiful things I could create.

-Do you make a living off of your art?

I unfortunately don’t make a living off my art but it’s one of my dreams of all times.

-What is your dream creative project?

My dream creative project is to have my paintings/artworks exposed in a real art gallery.

-What’s the most indispensable item in your studio/practice?

Paper, and old rugs. it can get messy!

-What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

It s an advice I gave to myself: do art cos you love it, don’t let anyone tell you you aren’t good enough for it.
