Matthew J. Bailey (b. 2000) is an emerging lens-based artist currently living in Washington DC. He recently graduated with a BFA in Photography from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2023. Through Matthew’s lens, he hopes to intertwine historical African-American narratives with his contemporary experiences. Matthew’s photography has been featured in many notable exhibitions and his work is also part of the collection at the Museum of American History in Washington DC.
