Fully Funded Art Residency in Turkey ‘Ecological Crossings’

Artists from Germany, France or Turkey can now apply for the artist-in-residence program Deniz Villaları – Ecological Crossings. The two-month residency programme (September-December 2025) will take place at selected partner locations in Turkey and the Mediterranean region and is organized by the Goethe-Institut Turkey and the Institut français de Turquie. The focus is on ecological issues, interdisciplinary art projects and international exchange. Apply online now – application deadline is May 31, 2025.
Eligibility:
Funding is available for artists with French, German or Turkish nationality or who have lived in one of these countries for at least three years – from the fields of visual arts, music, dance, public space, audiovisual art, media, journalism, literature, art criticism and curatorial practices.
Funding opportunities:
Funding is provided for two-month artistic residencies (between September and December 2025) at partner locations in Turkey or the Mediterranean region. Participating artists receive travel and accommodation costs, a production grant of €2,000, a daily allowance of the same amount, access to an equipped workspace and artistic and logistical support on site. Depending on the project, a stay at sea is also possible.
