Deloitte Photo Grant 2025

Deadline: 30 June 2025.

Grant provider: Fondazione Deloitte.

Deloitte Photo Grant, established in 2023, intends to become one of the world’s most important awards for photography within the contemporary art arena.

Photography plays a central and key role in contemporary artistic production. Deloitte’s Photo Grant, under the artistic direction of Denis Curti, aims to stimulate social reflection and, through intellectual awareness, promotes the theme Contrast, offering two grants totaling 60,000 euros.

With this initiative, Fondazione Deloitte seeks to provide concrete support for contemporary cultural production and establish itself as an observatory of the emerging artistic landscape.

Deloitte’s Photo Grant aims to visually document the daily struggles for the advancement of human rights (for everyone, with no exceptions) and, at the same time, the rejection of all forms of discrimination.

Through the photographic language, the goal is to give a voice to those who are often unheard, laying the groundwork for the creation of a free space dedicated to dialogue, where images can significantly contribute to fostering a constructive discussion on an urgent and relevant issue.

Photography grant theme:  The theme of the 2025 edition of the Deloitte’s Photo Grant is dedicated to exploring the gap between equality and inequality, referencing the various contradictory aspects inherent in contemporary societies. Among these, the most striking point of friction lies in the moral disparity we experience daily: our social fabric is marked by wealth controlled by an inaccessible elite, while a significant portion of the world’s population lives in extreme hardship. To make matters worse, national constitutions, deeply rooted in ideological foundations, are built upon a principle of balance based on mutual respect. However, this principle still appears far from universal applicability, as it is continuously undermined by the many forms of discrimination that increasingly affect minorities. With this premise, the theme Contrast is not limited to economic disparities alone but extends its scope to include the spectrum of civil rights. In this regard, the Deloitte’s Photo Grant aims to visually document the daily struggles for human rights (for everyone, with no exceptions) while also rejecting all forms of discrimination. Through the language of photography, the initiative seeks to give a voice to those who are often unheard, creating the conditions for an open and free space for dialogue—where images can play a fundamental role in fostering a meaningful conversation on an urgent and relevant issue.
