Artist residency for German Artists

Sharing is caring

In cooperation with FABRIKKEN for Kunst og Design, Copenhagen, the Goethe-Institut Dänemark invites proposals from visual arts curators based in Germany to a residency at FABRIKKEN from 18.05.-14.06.2026. The residency offers the opportunity to build networks with professional Copenhagen-based artists, to get to know the Danish art scene, and to develop ideas for new projects.

Eligibility:
Germany-based professional visual arts curators. Unfortunately, Danish citizens cannot apply.
We particularly welcome applications from early- to mid-career curators, who can document exhibition experience and curatorial practice.
Funding:
  • free use of an individual studio at FABRIKKEN
  • free accommodation in a furnished room in the home of a local artist or curator: the curator-in-residence will dispose of a private bedroom but share kitchen etc.
  • coverage of travel expenses to and from Copenhagen.
  • stipend: 1.700 euros
  • professional networking advice and facilitation by Charlotte Malte and Maria Gry Bregnbak (FABRIKKEN) as well as Barbara Honrath and Claudia Marchegiani (Goethe-Institut Dänemark)
