Shifting Points incubation programme for performing artists 2025

BIPAM, in collaboration with Kyoto Experiment and the Japan Foundation (JF), is launching “Shifting Points”, an incubation project for the next generation of performing arts artists in Thailand, Japan, and Southeast Asia. The program will select 6 artists to participate in both onsite and online activities starting February 2025.
The participating cohort will gather to expand their ways of thinking and practice by engaging with performing arts practitioners in Southeast Asia and their socio-cultural ecosystem. Thus, they will create a collective learning experience that will result in a performative outcome. The program will be facilitated and advised by a facilitator and guest mentors. The program will be facilitated by Yuya Tsukahara, co-director of Kyoto Experiment, alongside mentors June Tan, producer, scriptwriter, and member of Five Arts Center (Malaysia), and Helly Minarti, curator, scholar, and dramaturg from Yogyakarta.
Application Deadline: January 13, 2025
