The Artist in residence programme at KUNSTKOLLEKTIVET 8B is for artists and designers, who wish to develop on a professional and personal level. As an artist in residence you will be a part of a creative network.
About
Located in Denmark in a scenic surroundings close to beach and forest, you will find the newly renovated merchant house, which is home to Kunstkollektivet 8B. 8B has workshops for artists and designers using ceramic and textile in their art production.
The vision for 8B is to offer professional and high standard workshops in quiet surroundings for ceramic and textile artists, who wish to develop on a professional and personal level with a specific attention towards sustainable art and design.

As a resident of 8B you will get a private room, a workshop space that you can organise and access to lovely communal areas.
DURATION
It is possible to apply for a stay in Kuntskollektivet8B for a period of 2-12 months.
Fees
The price for the stay is 650 € per month and an original work of art donated to the house. Furthermore, there is a deposit of 100€.

Art residency in Denmark, for international artists, Kunstkollektivet 8B program
The Artist-in-residence programme at 8B is intended for younger artists and designers within textile and ceramic, who wish to develop on a professional and personal level.This particular open call is directed at textile designers working with sustainable design and local ressources.
Duration of residency
minimum 3 months and maximum 8 months
Accommodation
Kunstkollektivet 8B is located in the countryside in beautiful surroundings. As a resident of 8B you will be assigned a private room, shared bathroom kitchen and lounge. The will be between three and four other residents in 8B, working with either textile design/ art or ceramic.
Disciplines, work equipment and assistance
we have fully equipped textile studios for weaving, felting, plant dying, machine knitting, tufting, sewing.
Studio / Workspace
As a resident of 8B you will have access to a workshop space and the equipment that you need.
Fees and support
The projects includes free stay in the residency between four and eight months and an honorarium of 3300 €.
Expectations towards the artist
As a part of your stay you are expected to work together with three other textile designers, the local wool spinning mill and village people from eight villages on developing in all 16 designs for local wool garments and/ or household interior. There will also be plenty of opportunities to work on you own project.
