Multiple artworks marked the history and remained as one of the most famous artwork of all time. The artworks of either Leonardo da Vinci or Van Gogh

1-The Mona Lisa  

The Mona Lisa  is a portrait painted by the Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci. This artwork is considered a masterpiece of the Renaissance period. You can say that is the most famous one. it is right now exposed In Louvre Museum. This artwork did not reveal of its secrets especially the enigmatic expressions of the Mona Lisa.

2-The Starry Night

The Starry Night is an artwork achieved by Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh. This artwork was painted in 1889, it reflects the view from Vincent van Gogh’s room in his  depicts the view from the east-facing window of his asylum room in France. This artwork contains an imaginary village making the artwork more special.

3- Girl with a Pearl Earring

Girl with a Pearl Earring is an artwork of the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer. This artwork dates back to c. 1665. The artwork is an oil painting. The artwork became famous in the 20th century. It is currently exposed in the Mauritshuis in The Hague in Netherland since 1902.

4- The Kiss (Klimt)

The Kiss is an artwork of the Austrian artist Gustav Klimt. The artist used oil-on-canvas with added gold leaf as a medium.  It was achieved between 1907 and 1908. You can find the artwork now in  the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere museum in the Belvedere, Vienna.

5- The Last Supper (Leonardo)

The Last Supper is an artwork of the artist Leonardo da Vinci. dated to c. 1495–1498. mural painting by the Italian High Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci, dated to c. 1495–1498. The painting is a scene of the Last Supper of Jesus together with the Twelve Apostles. This artwork is characterised by a great mastery of  the space making it one of the most recognisable. You can find this artwork exposed in Santa Maria delle Grazie, Milan.

The Last Supper (Leonardo)

6-The Son of Man

The Son of Man (French: Le fils de l’homme) is a 1964 painting by the Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte. It is perhaps his best-known artwork.

Magritte painted it as a self-portrait. The painting consists of a man in an overcoat and a bowler hat standing in front of a low wall, beyond which are the sea and a cloudy sky. The man’s face is largely obscured by a hovering green apple. However, the man’s eyes can be seen peeking over the edge of the apple. Another subtle feature is that the man’s left arm appears to bend backwards at the elbow.

Le Fils de l’homme (Magritte)

7-Van Gogh self-portrait

Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh painted a self-portrait in oil on canvas in September 1889. The work, which may have been Van Gogh’s last self-portrait, was painted shortly before he left Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in southern France. The painting is now exhibited at the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.

8- Salvator Mundi (Leonardo)

Salvator Mundi or ”Savior of the World” is a painting of the Italian High Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci, dated to c. 1499–1510. Long thought to be a copy of a lost original veiled with overpainting, it was rediscovered, restored, and added in a major exhibition of Leonardo’s work at the National Gallery, London, in 2011–2012.

Salvator Mundi (Leonardo)

9-Lady with an Ermine

The Lady with an Ermine is a portrait painting widely attributed to the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. Dated to c. 1489–1491, the work is painted in oils on a panel of walnut wood. Its subject is Cecilia Gallerani, a mistress of Ludovico Sforza , Duke of Milan; Leonardo was painter to the Sforza court in Milan at the time of its execution.

Lady with an Ermine

10- American Gothic (Wood), Grant Wood

American Gothic is a painting by Grant Wood in the Friends of American Art Collection at the Art Institute of Chicago. Wood was inspired by an atypical house designed in a medieval European style whose details caught his eye, including the presence of an upper window with three pointed arches, similar to those of Gothic churches
